Yes I'm still alive.... And I have a new group of travel buddies!

Howdy folks,
Sorry its been a while, but I haven't really had that much news to report. I've been in Budapest for the last few days, soaking up the atmosphere and walking around a lot. Turns out I could have been walking around some different areas as all my new travel buddies are like 'did you see...', and 'have you been to...' lol. Oh well, ill be back and I have two tours booked, so I'm sure ill see everything then!
Budapest is really nice though, and this hotel, a 3 star (a huge step up from current stays) is really nice. I haven't had breakfast here yet, turns out I should have, as its the best on the whole trip and even has smoked salmon and champagne if you want it... Lol, bummer.
Ok so my new group is a different one. Can I just start by saying I think everyone is going to be really nice, surprising for a group, but you see why when I give you the break down...
First up is tour guide Andy (short for Andrea), a Kiwi, with 7 years guiding under her belt. Mainly European tours but some middle eastern and Asian too. Her trainee on this trip is Romanian George, who used to tour lead in USA (trips I've done, but not with him).
Next we have Melbourne couple Wyn and Bill, both retired. Wangaratta couple Peter and Marg, also retired, who bought along friend Heather (retired) and Peter's sister Janet, not retired, but older also all from Wangaratta. Next is Sydney couple, and newly engaged (like a few days ago in Russia!) Steve (ex Kiwi from 20years ago) and Mandy. We also have Nikki, NZ and solo traveler, Meghan from Canada, on her way home from living in Gold Coast, Melbourne and Bristol for last 3-4 years. And finally Al (Alison) my last night roommate a student nurse supervisor from Geelong (who sadly is currently sick with a two week cold).
Should be a different kind of trip, mellow, chilled and definitely relaxed! Photos are random... Last night we went to a combined bar after dinner, quite famous, in an old shell of a building. Complete with old cars, bathtubs and random bikes and other bits and pieces. Three people photo is guide Andy, Al and George. The other is Nikki and myself.
Enjoy! Off to last stop in Hungary on this trip... Eger, wine tasting area with a wine tasting tour tonight. Three hour train trip first though.
Send news of home if you have time,
A x
Ps. Had my first goulash last night.. No pic... :( but delicious!
