Even though its still 2.5 weeks before I leave, I couldn't wait to start so...
Actually before I start here is the 1 and only disclaimer: I take no responsibility for putting you to sleep if this gets boring.
First stop on the Turning 30 tour will be Madrid, Spain.
Lara, Chris and I are catching a bus to Burgos to meet Anna and friend for our Camino De Santiago Stage 1 walk.
In traditional intrepid travel style, we are starting backwards (see map) as we are walking from section 12 to section 1... why I hear you ask? Well it all started with a chicken and a rubber duck... no seriously it all started with one Anthony Catanzariti (who sadly could not join us with his lovely Paulette) and his want to start at this one particular place.. from there it snowballed and so now we are start in Burgos for our 288km walk.
Lara and Chris will be joining us for 4-5 days before flying back to the sunny (haha, unlikely!) England, and then it will be three. Three lovely ladies walking off all that cellulite. Awesome!
Here's a map to get you started:
And here are our distances per day (aka cellulite busting figures):
- Burgos to San Juan de Ortega 25km
- San Juan de Ortega to Belorado 24km
- Belorado to Santo Domingo de la Calzada 23km
- Santo Domingo de la Calzada to Nájera 21km
- Nájera to Logroño 30km
- Logroño to Los Arcos 28.5km (Farewell to Lara and Chris in Logroño)
- Los Arcos to Estella 21km
- Estella to Puente la Reina 22km
- Puente la Reina to Cizur Menor 19km
- Cizur Menor to Larrasoaña 21km
- Larrasoaña to Roncesvalles 27km
- Roncesvalles to St. Jean Pied de Port 25km
